Why Choose a Veneered Table Top?
Our dining table tops are crafted using a moisture-resistant MDF core layered between 1.5mm thick construction-grade wood veneers. This approach offers superior stability compared to solid hardwood, resisting seasonal warping and cracking. The veneered structure also allows for stunning grain patterns not achievable with solid wood, while maintaining durability. In the event of damage, our thick veneers allow for sanding and refinishing, ensuring your table top looks beautiful for years to come. A veneered Top also allows for more unique table base designs as wood movement if the top isn’t a concern.
Finish Options Explained:
We offer two distinct finishes to suit your furniture’s style and durability needs: AC 20% Sheen Clear Lacquer and Rubio Monocoat Hardwax Oil.
- AC 20% Sheen Clear Lacquer: This finish provides a subtle, low-gloss protective layer, enhancing durability while preserving the wood’s natural color. It’s particularly resistant to wear, making it ideal for high-traffic surfaces or pieces needing added protection.
- Rubio Monocoat Hardwax Oil: A natural, matte finish that penetrates deep into the wood, Rubio Monocoat brings out the rich grain and texture, leaving a warm, tactile feel. This eco-friendly option offers water resistance and is easy to spot-repair, making it perfect for maintaining a natural look with minimal maintenance.
